The Day of Second Chances -
2nd Passover
2nd Passover
2nd Passover Dates:
6pm Saturday, May 14th to 6pm Sunday, May 15th, 2022 (30 Days from the Feast of First Fruits every year) "Have the Israelites celebrate the Passover at the appointed time. Celebrate it at the appointed time, at twilight on the fourteenth day of this month, in accordance with all its rules and regulations . . . In the second month on the fourteenth day at twilight (2nd Passover) they shall keep . . . the Passover to the Lord according to the statute of the Passover and according to its rule, so shall he do. You shall have one statue, both for the sojourner and for the native."
(Numbers 9:2–3, 11, 14) What makes this holiday unique among all the other Jewish holidays is that God gave it in response to all the Israelites who missed Passover because they were ritually unclean.
"But some of them could not celebrate the Passover on that day because they were ceremonially unclean ... but why should we be kept from presenting the Lord's offering with the other Israelites at the appointed time?" (Numbers 9:6–7)
Second Passover is a wonderful picture of missed opportunity and the merciful nature of God.
Although God had set the time for Passover on Nissan 14, He revealed through Pesach Sheni that it is never too late to worship and thank the Lord for His miracles and mercy. Second Passover reminds us that Yahshuah (Joshua or Jesus) Remains our Passover Lamb . . . He is the God of Second Chances. The Second Passover has a prophetic aspect, as well. Perhaps the ultimate second chance is God's end-time gathering of Israel, coupled with Israel's end-time spiritual restoration. "I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the LORD. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart." (Jeremiah 24:7)
